london style
VERY excited to announce that i’ll be taking my thanksgiving trek to LONDON again this year. i bought some amazing vintage coral there around 8 years ago at Notting Hill street market. i’ll be looking for more vintage charms and goodies.
also hope to have a couple of trunk shows. it looked like i’d not be able to go due to work, but fortunately i’ll be free to go. woo hoo!! our usual thanksgiving venue closed (the pub was such a great spot), but i’m thinking this is a great year for change.
i believe good things are coming!
renewed etsy.com store
today i re-opened my etsy.com store. the url is www.millercan.etsy.com and i’m currently posting new designs and customer favorite designs.
also, i’ve started a management blog to reflect my management degree. in addition to focusing on systems thinking, i specialized in building high performance teams. (which requires systems thinking)
i realized that i’ve been lucky to create healthy teams who are passionate about company, personal and team success. it’s not as easy as one would think. as a former colleague used to say, “work shouldn’t suck”. i agree. so i’ll be partnering with a former classmate to build a blog on how to make work not suck…how to be a star employee and manage a satisfying career. once we map out our content plan i’ll post the new blog’s link. in the meantime, check out bob’s website: http://workplace911.com/
what you can expect on this blog is style information. my favorites and yours. not necessarily what hollywood talks about. but what we really love. so send me photos, links and ideas!
namaste.
content move
separation of content should happen when purposes distinctly change. in view of that, i’ve moved all work and management consulting content to another blog. this blog will continue to focus on style. mine, yours and our style.
rolling thunder…an inspiration
when i sit at my table playing with gemstones and tools i get to look out at the huge trees in my yard. sometimes i can see the light beginning to dim in the sky and i think that a storm might be rolling in. other times it’s still bright, but i feel the charge in the air. those are the moments i love. they inspire me somehow.
the amazing power and incredible energy that comes with lightning and thunder send a chill up my spine. so i was wondering if there were any designers who used the word “thunder” in their name or design. here’s what i found:

there are more…clearly more creative people already tapped into this idea.

new earrings
there’s a local store that asked me to make earrings for them. earrings sell faster than necklaces. i’ve been busy trying to create easy to wear and less expensive earrings than i have in the past. i’d like to see if the store will sell them and also learn what people in the area like to purchase. there’s a small college in the area which means parents who shop. the downtown Davidson area is very cute small town with a number of shops. and a ben and jerrys. let me know what you think of the new designs.
